In the summer of 2020, I joined a group of Berkeley students who created a startup called Nimble Space to build a parklet for a ramen restaurant in Oakland. We designed the parklet and bought materials at Homedepot. Then we spent 3 weekends building it. Now it is providing a space for customers to have outdoor dining. I felt so glad to get involved in such a great project which can support local small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
